I'll second your opinion on the Creek CD43. When I bought mine about a year ago, the salesperson was really trying to push me to get the Planet, but when I heard the Creek CD43, I was immediately sold on it. The main "improvement" over the Planet is that the Creek gives you DETAIL - perhaps this is partly due to the upgraded 24 bit DAC? The Creek has ALL the wonderful attributes of the Planet but does a much better job at portraying the more subtle nuances of the music. The only "downside" that I experienced was the relatively long waiting period (about 5 months!) for the company to ship one to the US - this was last year; hopefully the manufacturer has geared up for increased production of this wonderful machine. As far as I'm concerned, this will be the last CDP I purchase until I get a SACD player (maybe Creek will have one of these available someday??)
