Home Cable Asylum

Interconnects, speaker wire, power cords. Ask the Cable Guys.

and a blind man can't tell yellow from red...

I use it for my subs in main system since they are not that great (Citation 7.4). Also, use in home theater for sides and rear speakers. I previously used for mains until the CC89259 Belden replaced them and sounds much better than them. Considering that it is NOT THAT CHEAP at Home Despot compared to Belden I don't see why someone would want to use it.

I wonder if the Home Despot employee could really hear the difference as you describe. Then again my brother, 48 with impaired hearing from 35 years of playing bass and blues guitar, recently heard my system for the first time and really liked it's sound quality. But of course he had the volume twice as high as I ever do.

IMHO I think it is okay used in certain situations but for my mains I did not care for it.

my 2 cents...
