RE: AC Power Cable Connectors for 9 AWG Wire

Not in my experience. I've been using bare copper Furutech AC connectors, bare copper Cardas binding posts, and Edison Price Music Posts for many years, and they still sound excellent. A typically subtle layer of copper oxide does not form a notable sounding AC current/voltage inhibiting energy transfer barrier to the high-conductivity copper base metal, in my experience. If a listener is concerned about oxidization, simply unplugging/plugging an AC plug or IEC connector can self-clean the surfaces.
