RE: Wire loom - all one manufacturer or mix & match?

I appreciate the detailed response, especially having had SR cabling in your history.

I've taken a look at your profile, and our systems are very different in that mine is a horn-based system. In my own setup, the SRs replaced Zu Mission cables, biwired. The Missions were never intended to be a permanent solution, but I do admit that they were better than I perhaps gave them credit for, the SRs having cost about 8 times as much buying from the used market (the Zus having been purchased from their ebay store at under $100 for each set). It was the combination of the SR speaker cables and SR ICs between the preamp and amp that really made the difference for me, though, so now I'm just looking to tidy up the loose ends, so to speak.

One thing is clear, as Duster pointed out - one size doesn't fit all. I do appreciate the input, though, as I try to analyze the relevant factors involved in your cabling choices vs your system goals. As different as our choices are, it appears that the primary objective is the same - the reality of emotional experience. I'm closer than I've ever been, and it isn't a bad place to be.
