I'm not surprised, atkinsonrr. The MPS Hercules is a gold plated brass design that can't compete with a pure copper base metal AC connector. I have a number of orphaned MPS plugs after re-terminating various power cords with better AC connectors, including an Oyaide Black Mamba V2 terminated with unplated copper IeGo AC connectors for a critical listening application. I look forward to your impressions of the Acoustic Revive 8800 with IeGo AC connectors, which may take longer to burn-in than the Oyaide Black Mamba V2, IME. Be patient, and don't rush to judgement too soon. Allow plenty of time for high-current draw to take place when placed on your power amplifier.
