I appreciate all of the suggestions of those who responded and after considerable searching, I was fortunate enough to obtain an Audioquest Coffee from a local seller at a more than fair price. Consequently, with just a small stretch of my budget, I made a substantial leap up the ladder. Based on reviews, my own experience with AQ cables, and the fact that AQ has the size and technical expertise for development, I opted to go with this. In addition, I have observed that some of the best known and respected professional reviewers use this cable in their far more upscale gear as compared to mine.

From a performance standpoint, this proved to be a substantial improvement over my very good QED. In addition to more solid imaging and body, bass is more plentiful and has greater impact. Soundstage depth is now deeper and there is greater coherence and quietness along with now minimal brightness in my rather revealing system.

In order to get the very best sound, I did have to do some tweaking as to listening position and speaker toe-in. The characteristics of the Coffee afforded me the ability to do this which I could not before which also demonstrates the interrelationship of system components and cables. This was a matter of moving my listening chair a few inches back, moving the speakers an inch or so, and slightly decreasing speaker toe-in. I also found that returning my Analysis Plus Solo Crystal to my DAC to preamp connection optimized the above results as it proved to have more synergy with the Coffee than did my Anticables. All in all, a worthy upgrade.
