In cleaning out the Server room at work- we pulled out an AT&T switch rack - among the goodies are some BNC terminated 'patch' cables.
A collection of Loos ones - that are Belden 735A (or A1), and the others are grouped as three in an outer sheath. (it appears from the specs that they are the same wire).
My though was to use this as IC for some of my system(s)
Impedance: 75 Ohm
Inductance: 0.62339 uH/M
Capacitance: Conductor to shield: 58.0737pF/M
My question is don't we want as low as possible capacitance for inter connects?
and 58 pF/Meter - which translates to 17.7009 pF/Ft
- which sounds attractive-
Your thoughts?
