I really cannot understand why you keep having sales. If your product is good then people will buy it. Saving a few dollars here and there is OK but it does devalue the product and i should imagine put some people off buying it.

I think the opposite is true. I own a pair of "ultimate" DRD 300b mono blocks. I was really looking hard at the 45 DRD for the HF and mid range tad td-4001 drivers in my large format horns. The sale saved me a few hundred dollars when I bought my pair. That savings allowed me to scrounge a few pairs of excellent vintage 45 and 245 matched tube pairs. My pair of new 45 DRD ultimate amplifiers took quite a few months to fully break in. One night the sound bloomed after hundreds of hours on them. They went from great sounding to incredible sounding. Ron W. is a class act. We should all be happy he does not sell his amplifiers for a lot more money. They can easily outperform some very expensive boutique amps. The pictures do not do justice to how nice my pair of 45 DRD amps look up close in person. The iron is first rate, quality binding posts, and the wood chassis boxes are very well made. More power to Ron if he can pass along some extra savings to us. You are the first person to complain about saving some loot.. John C.

Related to Albert Einstein are you?I thought not.....
Perhaps it is Ron's way of saying thanks to his customers?
Then what explains my purchase of 27 feet of silver wire from Welbourne last week when it was on sale? Is silver wire devalues now? Should we all stop using silver? My 2¢.
I suppose you only by gas when the price is up, in case they're selling only inferior product?Summers are notoriously slow sales periods generally, and specifically in the audio world, hence the sales at Welborne, PartsConnexion, etc. But do feel free to wait until sales end and pay more - your call. This DIYer, for one, appreciates the opportunity to pay less. Sale items may even spur me to buy something I otherwise might not, in keeping with...gasp...marketing theory!
