the max gain spec for the Primare, might be borderline for really low output MCs. That said, I like the R-20s loading options better. The R-20 MSRP is $200 higher.

  this time about your Jolida. First thanks for the feedback on my Parasound PPH-100 in a previous post. Now I am looking at the Jolida JD-9A as a possible choice for upgrade vs. the Cambridge Audio 640P. The Channel Islands Audio VPP-1 would have been a logical choice for me since I own the CIA VDA-2 and VAC-1 but from what I have found, the CIA is only slightly better than the Cambridge Audio and the Monolithic PS-1, sonically. I can purchase the Jolida for only $40 more than the CIA and was wondering if the Jolida is much more sonically than the Cambridge Audio for the approximate $200 price difference. Like the idea of having more gain control for the future with the Jolida. Thanks for your thoughts on this in advance.
