In fact, I'd like to do a compilation LP of different runout groove sounds, since I've heard so many. The fun ending would be that the runout grooves themselves on my complilation LP would actually be modulated for music, albeit very short and repeating pieces of music (yes, there would be a Side A and a Side B of this LP).

At least I don't buy into the 24 hour rule. Now that's crazy.Seriously, this is a good post and resulting thread. I too have considered an auto or semi auto turntable for the sake of convenience.
