had a "backup" TT in my life and never missed a day of music either.But I did see that little Denon bugger on the German and USA websites and looks pretty nifty. Amazing that such a huge company would still today produce such a product. I don't think retired audiophiles are buying them. :-)

Nah. It will be mostly for the times I mentioned. Since I'm disabled I can't jump up out of the chair and gracefully get to the Scout to lift the arm at end of side. Plus the floor here is super bouncy (loft above a 3-car garage), so the auto functions are appreciated.

I'm disabled too, and thank God I have a patient, even audio-interested wife. She jokes about being my remote control with the turntables and preamp (which has no on/off on the remote). But she loves the music about as much as I do. She even enjoys operating the VPI record cleaner when my legs get too tired to keep scrubbing and vacuuming. Better yet, she is a "list maker" and actually ENJOYS entering all of our LPs and CDs into the KeepTrak program, which I had no patience for.
