I would opt for the RB-300 myself. The LVV was one of the lowest cost Linn arms they produced. I have never owned an LP12 myself, but on other suspended subchassis, belt-driven turntables, (Thorens TD-160S, Ariston 11s, Thorens TD-125mkii)I think the Rega arms can perform extremely well, and have gotten a kind of bum rap in that department.

Agreed. I've owned both arms. The RB300 is superior in virtually every respect.

I've got an Akito Mk2 on my Linn and I think that the RB300 is probably as good as that, I keep swapping them over but..it's close all right..Mind you the RB is fully Origin modded
Agreed. Lotta difference between an Akito and a Basik. Even the Basik Plus is a major step up from the Basik, IMHO.
