The new BP is better than the old one. I had both until I gave my old one away. Tighter bass, great midrange. A lot like a Grace F9E in overall sound.
I don't have any experience with the old sumiko cartridges but I can tell you the new sumiko blue point with a nad 533 sounds really sweet. I prefer it over a grado gold any day as well as many of the budget mm carts around. In that category I've used audio-tech, at110e, stantons and rega carts including the exact. just my two cents
That's good to know. The old one sucked, reminded me of a Linn K5, so I'm not surprised that they made improvements. It was overdue. :)
