I'm just about to get out of work here and I think I'm going to listen to 'rythm-an-ing' on 'Way Out' by Thelonius Monk at an obscene level when I get home.
Follow Ups:
Some of it's really cool, like Coming Home & Memphis Underground... much of it, however, makes me want to watch an Austin Powers movie.

For a newbie, you're doing great. That is a desert island box set. I'm listening to Beethoven this morning, too, number eight by Scherchen. The old sages around here were truly right who priased these Westminster monos for their natural sound and I'm snatching them up hungrily. Shocking dynamics, too. I'm probably wrong but better transition from soft to loud than on most stereophonic records. To my ears, anyway.
While my vinyl compulsion is fairly new, I've been into music for years - classical, jazz, 60s/70s rock, you name it.Picked up the Razamovskies on a trip to Toronto a few months ago. Have them on CD by Takacs Quartet. Both are nice, in their own way. Of course the vinyl sound is better :)
I don't have any Westminster monos, but I some of my other monos are really nice.

..a nice Division of Liberty pressing. Gonna warm the TT up tonight, if the T-storms clear out early enough. And tomorrow may bring untold new vinyl riches. Film at eleven.

Just called the distributer and she is back in Switzerland but August is vacation time over there and it will take at least 4-6 weeks for the warranty work to be completed. If I were to be able to spin some vinyl, I think it would be Van Halen "Diver Down" and then Chicago "IV".
Patiently waiting,
Sorry to hear that, Ken.
Was this the off-center cantilever problem?
Yup.Tell me, how is your Ruby3H sounding after a few weeks of break in?
Currently debating on whether to buy a Benz Ace for a substitute while I'm waiting or get my JMW-9 rewired with the Nordost Valhalla from VPI. Opinions???
God I miss that Ruby3H OA.
Regards,
Well, it's not changed much at all. Sometimes I think that maybe the LF weight is better, but not too sure. One thing is certain, with about 15 hours on it, the break-in is not as dramatic as other cartridges I've had so far.
Even with the little play time it has had, it has left me breathless on more than one occasion. Damn, it sounds good!
I just wish I were home for longer stretches of time. This being out of town every other week stuff, is killin' me!
I sure hope you have a short wait, Ken. Maybe you should troll the 'gon or Ebay for a pinch hitter.
I am very impatient when it comes to waiting for goodies and I've only once been in a 'system stopper' situation. Damned holidays.Best regards,
Thanks for the support Ray.Yes a pinch hitter would get me through but after hearing the Ruby3H OA I'm afraid that anything lesser would lead to utter disappointment if you know what I mean.
Currently listening to the digital devil,
I've been wanting to crank this up again for awhile. I think today may be just the day for it.

Local store in Chicago suburbs when it came out. Can't say I've ever seen another copy since. It had a sticker on the shrink wrap saying limited edition. Apparently it was very limited, indeed.

Later Gator,
Crank up your talking machine, grab a jar of your favorite "kick-back", sit down, relax, and let the good times roll. The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
