I recently bought four vintage pieces on ebay, haven't even got them all yet, but was wondering if you had any ancient catalog info on the following:Olson RA-91 receiver
Electro-Voice EV-1122 integrated amp
NAD 160a Receiver (silver-face!)The fourth piece was a Sherwood S-7300 that I picked up for $20 on christmas day - really excited about that one!
My average price for these 4 pieces was less than $30 each - not bad IMHO - thanks - Ken
Follow Ups:
Not that this'll necessarily help you at the moment, but there is a pretty nice on-line resource of some old catalog scans (HEAVILY biased towards R to R decks) at the website of a Texas company called Phantom Productions (link below).I have no other knowledge of Phantom Productions, but I have noticed that they often sell old catalogs and literature on that popular auction site, with reasonable (IMO) BIN's.
all the best,
mrh
See the attached link to calculate how much the prices would be in today's dollars. The prices shown in the catalog put them out of the reach of all but the must dedicated hi-fi fans of the day, and the console shown at the bottom is definitly a studio item.
measured in the cost of an early 60s color set. BUT everything is relative. When I see a nice flat screen tube type set for $250 they still seem outrageously priced.I'm curious if by 5 years from now EVERYTHING wil be wide screen flat panel and a reasonable sized one is inder $500. (OK maybe 2 years from now then)

Probably late 60s. In my early 70s Olson catalog they were marketing stuff under Teledyne label (who owned them) but stuff still had RA prefixElectro-Voice EV-1122 integrated amp
in my 70 Allied catalog for $79.90, 10 wpc rms 30 w IHF 36 watts 1 dbNAD 160a Receiver (silver-face!)
Don't know much about NADs --they were kinda after when I have good reference material.

I have the schematic and service manual for that one. Front page of manual and schematic are already scanned if you are interested.
You realize of course I have one of those too I bought for $36 on ebay. Really really nice unit.
Thanks for the info! - I may contact u later after the S-7300 arrives - Ken
