There are 2 bulbs #1847 on each side of the dial glass. They're attached to L brackets with spring clips. Just use a scerwdriver and carefully slide the socket toward the back and replace the bulb and slide it back into position.

Thanks, Sparks. Works like a charm. Too bad I had only one spare 1847 bulb. Now at least I'm back where I started. Do you know if these buls are easy to find and where to find them?
1847s are a common bulb. You can get them at any electronic supply. I think Radio Shack stocks them. You can also use 47s if you can't find 1847s.
