Why don't you ask at audiokarma? I think there are some techs in that general area that use that site. Ask in the Vintage Solid State forum or the Pioneer forum.
Very sweet sounding receiver, one of the nicest sounding and deserves to be restored.

I've been trying for two days, and the board won't let me register. Message says "Sorry, registration has been disabled by the administrator."I e-mailed the administrator, but no response yet.
...or something like that. Not sure when issues will be resolved. But you already knew that.
You must have written just as I was posting my little rant. Thanks very much. I will check out out audiokarma.
Best,

Oh, yeah, they are migrating to a new server and service. Things have been hectic over there for the past week and probably into next week, too.
I visit both AA & AK. Can't get too much of a vintage audio fix ;-)
I was on both AK and AA. I thought AK was a public forum, but be warned, it's not. It is run/owned by one guy, along with a clique of moderators. I posted news and info about an audio event I ran, in their Events section, and was accused of 'self-promotion', banned from AK, very rudely. I had no idea I did anything wrong. It's a good forum and I was grateful for the generous advice I received there, but don't cross the guy in charge, 'Grumpy'.
