Hello Alberto amigo:Just to let you know that I am a RGPC preacher too. I have the complete "Isogray System" which includes a 240 volts Circuit and Dedicated Line, the 240 Volts Sub Station and the RGPC1200s (S goes for silver color). My friend, I couldn't be happier: black background, stable and clean power, and all the benefits you mention in your post. Now the RGPC 240 Volts is a step-down transformer which converts the 240 volts into 120 volts available through four Hubbel, Hospital Grade Outlets, I have one of those outlets for the RGPC1200s with several components, one for my Mccormack DNA225 Power Amplifier (amplifiers always work better if plugged directly to the outlet, without any Power Line Conditioner, in my humble opinion) and the third outlet to my Velodyne DD15 Subwoofer. Fourth outlet still available. Now Alberto: I would suggest you to try also the "Noise Harvesters" from PS Audio, I have several in my system with good results to increase the black background even further, and I plan to get several more, I don't care about the soft intermitent blue lights coming from those "Noise Harvesters" and I do like the accumulative effect of several of them to increase the silence behind my music. Thanks for sharing your good experience, Best, Antonio Machado. P.S.: are you Spanish ? or do you have Spanish heritage ?
Follow Ups:
All my componenents are plugged into a Hydra 4 which gets its power from a distribution bar which is connected to the wall. I plugged in a PS Audio Harvester into this power bar and it was blinking non-stop. It was for this reason I tried the RGPC Pro and the moment it was plugged into the power bar the Harvester stopped blinking. The greatest change I would say for me was the dynamics. I could now clearly hear that some instruments were actually softer than others while previously it was not that apparent. A lot more hidden details also turned up from the music as a result of the lower noise floor and of course everything is now silent or black as you would call it.
Hello RabPaul: interesting experience you had. Now I would suggest you to try both the Hydra "and" the RGPC daysi-chained. I have all my components plugged into the Hydra which is pluged into the RGPC1200s, with extraordinary results. The only components plugged directly into the RGPC 240 volts Substation are the McCormack DNA225 "Platinum Edition" and the Velodyne DD15 Powered subwoofer, which work better bypassing the Hydra or any other Power Line Conditioner. Best, Antonio Machado.
Hi Antonio,One of the reasons I have not done so is because I have a Bryston 4B which is best connected to the wall. However I have to admit I won't know until I actually try and see if I will be limiting the Bryston in anyway by connecting it to the RGPC.
Hi Antonio, quite a set-up you have! Now that I've discovered that AC tweaking is real, I am definitely going to try a few more things.> Antonio Machado. P.S.: are you Spanish ? or do you have
