can you provide more info. The reason I dont want to turn the amp off is because I switch between integrated and seperate mode a few times a day and don't want to wear down the tubes.

...if you continue this. Turn it off, wait maybe 30 seconds, do the switching, and turn it on. You won't damage your tubes; they're already warm.

thanks... so the damage to the tubes is from them cooling off and warming back up? Not from the surge of current required to turn them on?
I will turn it off from now on though... thanks for clarifying this for me.
...turned on at the same time with the tube COLD. That causes the biggest degree of consumption of coatings, etc. Turning it on while it's still warm or almost hot is less wearing.
