Looking for those adapters to use 5751 9-pin tube into octal socket (6SL7). Anybody know who sells'em, hopefully as reasonable prices?
Follow Ups:
Singlepower Audio makes these adapters. Price is something like $99.95 ea. The adapters aren't on their web page, but you can call and order them. If they don't have any already made up, there may be a wait until they produce a batch.
I was thinking of using my Sylvania triple mica BP 5751 instead of 6SL7, but heck, for that kind of money, I may as well just buy some nice NOS 6SL7's..
Jon, hi. Antique Electronic Supply at one time carried just such an adaptor. Don't think they do now. You could call them. I built a few at the time. It didn't seem too difficult. Yeah, right. You can too with the following caveats: take it slowly and have great patience. I first built to convert 6GM5 for use in a MC-225. I also did some to allow use of 12AY7 in a octal socket. Each time I vowed I would never build another one because of the time and tediousness involved. It is like building a ship in a bottle but the glass is opaque. Thus is becomes a task of the proportions of Greek mythos. I kid you not.
Build 'em yourself. Noval sockets and Octal plugs are widely available.

I really was hoping to avoid making them myself. Oh, well. Do you remember the corresponding tube pins on the 9-pin vs. octal sockets?
Dude,As you indicated elsewhere in this thread, premade adapters are a COMPLETE rip off.
Any time you need info. about tubes, including the pin outs (basing) hop over to TDSL.
