I am looking for a NOS pair of Mullard ECC35/CV569 tubes. Anyone have a lead for me?
Follow Ups:
Sherlock,I have two pairs of tubes ECC35/CV589, old Mullard logo, but have Foreign made also on the bottle. I have no way of knowing which Phillips plant they where made at. They look identical to the photos at Tube World.
Hi,
I have a pair in my drawer that were NOS and then I put about 100 hours on them before switching to a 6SN7 type, because the 6SL7 (ECC35) was a bit bright in my preamp which can use either. I was going to hold them in case I changed rooms / speakers, etc... and wanted a bit brighter sound. However, I might part with them if you have something good to trade. If you can't find any commercially available ones email me....
Sherlock,This is the kind of item that German ebay is quite good at. But the closest I see at the moment:

I don't know the ECC35/6SL7GT, but I wonder if the Brimar might be Mullard supplied?
Someone else to ask would be Derek at Watford Valve. He lists three kinds of 6SL7GT including 50's RCA for 10 Pounds. Sometimes he will have things not in the general list.
Just a thought.
Cheers,
Thanks Bambi......I just A/B tested the Brimar and Mullard yesterday at a friend's house and we both preferred his Mullards....so I am specifically looking for the Mullards....but I appreciate the thought!
I see that tubeworld is sold out of these, but has photos on their site:http://www.tubeworld.com/cv569.gif

Thats the one I want...:)
