You may need to check the manual as I belive the
VT50 isn't designed to receive an invererted phase signal.

You are right. The phase on the main out the AI is inverting and the tape out is non-inverting. Is there any way to make them work toghether?
The VT50 uses a balanced circuit and should be used with a balanced preamp for optimum performance.

These amps use a jumper inserted in the XLR connector for use with single ended RCA use. Take the jumpers out and polish them with something like Flitz or Simichrome until they are mirror shiny. The clean them with Chramolin or DeOxit and them treat them with ProGold or your favorite contact enhancer(the Walker stuff might be great for this). Your amp will sound better and you will smile!
