IMHO, this is not an amp, this is a soundmachine! The damping faktor is perhaps 0.7, distortion at full output about 2-3%! Perhaps you can listen to ABC news but not to a symphonic orchestra! This circuit is too easy. Try out an old style Mullard circuit with 20db feedback. The GE 6BQ5 can sound very well with a high transconductance input (perhaps WE417) and a &CG7/6SN7 or 6922 phase splitter. Make a circuit. I would help you solving the occuring problems.

Of course, not. You could have a damping factor of about 8-10 with a 300B pp and inherent low distortion. But the single ended driver should have high voltages and low currents in this application.
with the 8k a-a, and 300B's you'd have a max damping factor of 5. Less by far if you leave class A, more like 2, or two and a half...BTW, the 6AU6 is a linear triode, when the plate is conected to the g2.

and decide for yourself!I have no idea, what damping factor my amps have, or distortion...I listen to them. I suppose if they have too much distortion...they won't sound good.
