I had em bith, and liked the 35's much better.
I had great hopes for the 38's, but they are muffled sounding.
The 35 tweeter can get a bit ragged at times, but the 35 altogether is my=uch more musical IMHO.
The 25 I never tried, Bur Stereopile liked em, or they liked Matt Polks Ad money !
But the 35, powered by my Audire Parlando, on good Osiris stands, had me tappin my toes !
They arent the last word in Transparency, nor are they as good as the Kef Q1, but they are musical, and I enjoyed my time with them.
The 38's I didnt care for at all, a step backwards for Brad Starobin and the Polk design team.
Follow Ups:
I'd have to agree with ka7niq. I own a pair. I think they are a pretty good speaker for the money. I also think they are "voiced" to perform best in a home theater set-up rather than critical music listening. The mid-range is ever so slightly sucked out. I let my daughter and son-in-law use mine in their home theater set-up and they both like them a lot. However, if music was my first priority, and it is, for the same money, I'd look at Paradigms. The just sound better than the Polks.
"Honey, that's the same amp we have always had, I swear!!"
How Close do the rt35 come to the preformance of a speaker like the smaller paradigms 85%,90%. The reason I'm asking is that while I don't listen criticly due to a small room and placement problems. I there for do a lot of headphone listening when I listen to music. That being said, I would like a very good ht speaker that while falling short of a critical listening speaker will give me most of the preformance of one. I will be using the speakers mostly in an ht set up and for music in the room when I can't wear headphones. The rt35 might still fit this use. Let me know what you think. Thanx raydog and ka7niq
Actually, mine are the RTi38's. I've also owned a pair of Paradigm Monitor 5v2's. The Paradigm was better in every respect. I think it's one of the best values in affordable speakers out there. However, both of these are rather large bookshelf speakers. I should also point out that the Polk 38's retail for $380 while the Paradigm 5's retail for $525. The Polks would make for a very nice home theater set-up. They are by no means a bad speaker. You might want to hear the Paradigm MiniMonitor. At around $325, it should do all the things the Polks do with maybe a little better midrange. Paradigm's are tough to beat when it comes to budget speakers.

Sorry, but Raydog has more experience on this than I do.
I had a bunch of time with Polk 35's, and agree they are a bit sucked out, but musical.
The 38's never really got a lot of time, perhaps a week before I took em back.
The KEF Q1;s arrived, and they became the new toy.
The 38's perhaps never really broke in, but I seem to have preferred the 35's
