I am considering buying the 3A's but can't listen at any area
dealers. I was wondering if the 115 would be enough power for the
low end of the 3A's. Has anyone heard 3A's with a 100 watt tube amp?

I asked the same question 3 months ago when I was auditioning the ARC 100 MK3. I bought the amp & LS 25 MK2 pre & let me tell you there is absoultley no problem with it pushing the 3A Sigs. I have more then enough power & plenty of bass. The combination is great. Just make sure you have good interconnects, & speaker cable.
I auditioned these speakers about 2 years ago with an ARC VT 100Mk2. It worked very well even in the bass. The D-115 which I have previously owned is a very powerful amp. I don't think you'll have a problem but you might realize taunter bass with SS. I always felt there was a synergistic match with Vandy's and ARC gear. The D-115 has a somewhat foward presentation with a huge soundstage while the Vandy's are laid back. I think this amp would be a very good match. Good luck.
According to the specs, you should be fine (I have no personal experience with tubes and vandy's). Call Richard Vandersteen and ask him, he's surely the one with the most experience and is easily accessible. Though you may have to wait if he's at CES.-- Greg
