How high is your ceiling? Where are your ears when you do most of your listening? Do you sit on the floor while playing video games? Do you have carpeted floors?Stand quality means just as much as their height. For the ProAcs, don't go with anything less than custom Sound Anchors jobbies. But before you place that order, make sure you've played with several stands, each with different heights.
Experiment with materials between the stands' top plates and the bottom of the speaker.
Keep in mind that what works in one room may not work in another. So there are no hard and fast and absolute rules, when it comes to speaker stands.
I had SF Cocnertinos for about 2 years and it's absolutely inposible
to listen to 'em on stands that are not 28", go lower, too much
bass and not much of everything else, go to 29-30" and there's no
bass at all.I'm making my own stands.
I used my One SCs on 24" Atlantis stands filled with lead shot. This is, I believe, optimum for these speakers. I used a Pass Aleph 3 and always felt that I needed more grunt.
Hi,A 60cm stand for the Proac 1sc and the Tablettes is considered almost obligatory.
The most suitable stands ( and unfortunatelly the most expensive ) are the Target (R1 if my memory serves me right)
The next best solution are the Atacama SE24 stands filled with sand and lead.
Happy listening
