the $1100 number sounds about rite - i've seen 'em adwertized for anywherre between $500 & $1350, for ratty to mint, w/recently replaced drivers. i tink yule be hard-pressed to beat 'em w/anyting else in this price-range, for true full-range sound. they really appreciate lotsa current from yer amp(s), tho...doug s.

Have to agree with the previous posts. It is a one good speaker for that price. Love lot of power, I mean POWER. So mate it with a good SS amp with at least 100W. It will sing for you very with a PS Audio 200CX power amp if you can find a one. Will definitely help if the amp can handle 4 ohm loads. There is an equiliser that come with the speaker to boost up the bottom end. Some people like it and some consider that to be an inconvenience. However, if you want to go below 50Hz, you must have it.Good Luck!
