Someone (I think Bob Neill) mentioned a few months ago that Berkeley would likely see a Harbeth dealer this fall. Has it happened yet? Can I audition these speakers in the SF Bay Area?
Follow Ups:
I forwarded your query to wintertreeaudio.com, which is Harbeth/NA. Assume you've heard something back by now...? You can reach them there too.

Just spoke with Garnet Lewis who can't respond here (yet) because he's not registered. I'm sure he'll be with us one of these days. Anyway, he said expect a Berkeley area dealer for Harbeth by mid-November. That gives you around seven weeks of anticipatory excitement! When you hear the 7's, compare with Spendor SP 1/2's and tell us what you hear. I find that comparison extremely interesting and would have trouble picking the winner. For the record, REG of TAS, finds them both superb and won't pick a winner, on record anyway. Then listen to the Monitor 40's, if you've got a big room home and some watts 'n' current. I think you'll hear the reasonable man's state-of-the art. Also, Monitor 30's are due in the states later this fall, which have the 40's tweeter and midrange in a very slightly smaller cabinet than the Compact 7's. For a moderate to small room, they could also be state-of-the-art, unless, of course you're a cafe au lait drinker.
and a rather small room, so the Monitor 30s might be ideal. I'll post my perceptions after listening. Many thanks!Bill
