I do not yet own the vsm's but have listened and am seriously considering purchasing a pair. The reason I ask now is I have a chance to puchase the mc integrated at a real good price and I am looking down the road. Thank you for the response!!

my pleasure, k.
mc amps sound relaxed and tonally rich which will put you in a good position with most vsm models. the latter ones will sound the best with ss as the very early ones were designed more for se triode tubes amps and their sound.
use of a single run of speaker cable with merlin jumpers and i pair of rc networks will result in a tonally right sound.
if you have any other questions, post here or call me at the merlin plant.
good luck!

Wow! Talk about customer support.I was unfamiliar with Merlin until a week ago when I heard a pair of monitors at Evolution Audio that sounded and imaged great, projecting a deep soundstage. Adding the sub was icing on the cake, resulting in a fine full range set up. I was impressed.
What sub did you hear with the merlins?
Just a note about the MA 6900, it is an excellent amp. Buy it!
Thanks for the comment Jeff.....I am buying it!!
