My brother recently purchased a pair of KEF 105/3s which he had shipped to him across the country. They arrived without a scratch, but three of the feet vibrated loose during shipping and apparently fell out a hole in the bottom of the box. These are M6 spikes surrounded by 3/4" tall removable black plastic feet so you can use them either way.
KEF America says that they don't have any of these anymore.
Might anyone have a set of KEFs on which they have, for example, decided to use a different kind of spike feet and would consider selling the stock feet?
They are the exact same feet used on my 104/2s.
Follow Ups:
I'm usinf soundcare spikes with my 104/2. It's not cheap but I'm pleased with the results.
Hello David,I run operations for the Pacific Northwest Rep firm that handles KEF (among other things). I know that KEF America doesn't have any accessories for products of this vintage, but I'll put my feelers out through my contacts and audio buddies.
Robert's suggestion though, is excellent. There are a few fantastic aftermarket products that might squeeze more performance from those 105/3s.
I'll follow up on this thread Monday. Have a great weekend!
Well, I beat the bushes but came up empty.I was told that standard aftermarket spikes should fit the threaded inserts. Perhaps look into some Mapleshade footers. I don't know if they're sold separately, but the spikes that DeVore uses for the Gibbon Super 8s are fantastic.
The Dayton spikes from Parts Express also look to have potential.
Good luck and happy listening!

Forget the stock feet. I'd experiment with cones. I used to use sound anchor stands for my KEF 104/2 and it was a big improvement over the stock rubber feet. In fact their are a pair of the stands I used on audiogon now. They are the ones that were made for the B&W Matrix 802.
with the bandpass enclosure's bottom woofer firing back at the floor, they just sound sloppy and boomy unless they are decoupled. also, stands get the tweeter to ear level. the 104/2 are heavy, which fools people into thinking they are bigger than they are. in reality, they are sorta small and should be elevated.the 105/3 are similar size to the 104/2, right? a bandpass with the uni-q?
