I don't see the scam angle.Follow Ups:
The scam angle is getting an email outlining that you have problems, whilst a) you're not currently active on eBay, b) you do not have nor ever had any problems and c) the fact that it asks for personal and confidential information. Oh, and the 'eBay Safeharbor Department'??? Gimme a break.DUI, you amaze me :-)
Sounds like a defense lawyer angle to me ;-) But seriously, anytime you get an *unsolicited* email requesting private info (password, credit card number, SS ID, bank account, etc), it’s a scam. I get the ebay and PayPal spoofs all the time. View the email HTML source and you’ll see the official looking ebay link really goes to another private site. For instance, the ebay scammer knows it’s very likely that most will use the same password for PayPal too. Now they have direct access to your bank account. Or they can contact the seller for something you buy, notifying a new shipping address (to themselves of course). Never reply to email links or download unknown files and always use unique passwords for everything.
