http://cgim.audiogon.com/i/vs/s/f/1159631505.jpgSince the panel on the left (in the picture) is close to the door and the center of tweeter is close to the edge of the panel (using mirror method), i can't hang the panel in the door frame. The only way to do this is to build a stand . Also, i like to space 2" from the wall.
So, the question is if it's ok to leave the panel on the floor with wood base (similar to Echobuster panel) and it still takes effect? The panel is 48" tall and speaker is 38" tall.
Panel on the left and on the right are opposite in the same position.

Sure, as long as the panel is tall enough so the top is a bit above ear level, it's fine on the floor leaning against the wall.
Ethan,Thanks very much for your response. Looks like i'm good to go with the plan as I will build a few more with stand. This makes my life easier when i need to move the panel around in my small room.
By the way, do you think it's good idea to put two more panels behind speakers (not directly behind but close to the gear stand)? I already have panels behind my listening position which is 3 ft from the back wall. When listening to classical music, i still hear a bit of echo but not very clear unless i put my mind closely to music..:)

That's one of the last places I'm concerned with because your speakers don't face that way.

You could certainly experiment, and maybe putting a few panels on the front wall will help. But if that does help it's probably because more absorption was needed in the room generally, versus needed at those particular places.
