Hello:
I have a nice LANGEVIN AM 2A MIXER that is without power supply. The markings say 50 V DC Max. I am wondering what the latitude is....ie a 48 VDC power supply will probably work, but what current rating do I need.........will 1 amp be sufficient, or do I need more. All 9 channels are populated with the Beyer cards.

If it says 50 volts then it will probably be dropped to 48 via decoupling resistors. But you need to go in with 50. Most commercially avaliable 48 volt power supplies like Power 1 linears or Condor linears can be adjusted +or- 5 volts. The thing I would be afraid of is if the electrolytics on the cards are leaking. They used quite a few electrolytics as signal coupling and as power supply decoupling. I'd replace all of those with new fresh caps. Good luck! Ray

Have you asked the folks at Manley? They've likely got the specs on hand.
Manley offers no service to any legacy Langevin gear. They bought the name and nothing else.
