hi, im looking to puchase new pro audio speakers. and this time im going to go with dual drivers, ex dual 15". anyways i need some input on which company to go with? Cerwin vega, sound tech, mtx, peavey, jbl, b52 etc... im trying to keep cost down a little but i dont want to sacrifice preformance.. lets say a budget of... $500-$1500 for a pair.. if all i can get is crap in that price range, then i guess i will have to spend more.. and if there is anyother good companies i havent listed let me know..

thanx guys for your help, i greatly appreciate it.
If you want Good Performance & sound quality for a medium size club you'll be wanting Bi-amped or greater, & plenty of headroom. Not only is Bi-amping more efficient, it also means you can buy those 2x15's or 2x18's to give you that Ground-shakin' bass, without compromising on Top-end performance. I would recommend visiting other establishments in your area, see what you like, then see if you can afford it.
There are so many different brands out there, if your really going to buy something try & go somewhere that you can hear it 'working hard' first, if you like the sound don't worry too much about whether its 2x15's or whatever.
You didn't mention what Amps you have, or if you'll be buying those aswell?
sorry about not explaining what these will be used for... these are going to be used in a small to medium sized dance club.
For strickly dance club use (no live band stuff) go with Cerwin-Vega.
For lows use either there T-36/750 or SL-36B's
for mids and highs fly their MT-102's in the corners of the dance floor.4 of each of these cabinets and you should have the place a shakkin.
If there's going to be live bands and the speakers at one end of the club see my previous post. The only one I forgot to mention was Yamaha. But most of the speakers you mentioned previously are mainly for live club/band use. But for strickly dance club CV is the way to go on a budget, unless you can afford something like an EAW avalon system.

peavey, jbl,Have a look at EV, Yorkville, Community also, they may give some of the best bang for the buck and maybe on resale value too.

What do you intend to use the speakers for?Your answer will determine the best way to reply.
What are "pro audio speakers"? Are you looking for studio monitors, a PA system, ???By the names of manufacturers that you have listed, I'm gonna guess that you are looking for a PA system. For a 100 seat club? or a little coffee house, a 500 person dance club or an outdoor arena?
Sorry, but this stuff is extremely application specific; what works in one case might be useless in another. so, what is this system going to be used for?

digital? I'm still not sure about transistors....
