hi Guys,
we have installed in our smaller sanctuary at the church, behringer
ep2500 and ep1500 power amps
the ep2500 powers the house speakers, and it lately has been showing the red peak lights upon turnon and they stay on.
I have checked the connectors both at inputs /speaker outs ,and at the speaker ends and all seems correct
Also, you can turn the gains on the faceplate right down to "00" and the peaks still stay on.Any ideas of what this could be?
Thanks
ROb,

LOLThe other guy is right on the quality issue but.....
Did you disconnect everything from the amp and turn it on?
This could be a protection issue and the unit is not kicking in
to protect circuits/output transisters from melting downYou will know the problem lies elsewhere if you disconnect
the inputs/outputs and the amp kicks onI just suspect you have a waranty issue and I suggest you
take advantage of it ASAP
hey Stuartyes. i tend to agree with both of you.. BUT, i inherited this, i didn't build the system,.
i would have put in Bryston or QSC but hey.. thats just me
actually i want to have it benched ,. its just weird that the thing plays normally , yet with the peaks on solid.
Curious eh.. cause we have at least- 10yr old Soundtech amps in the Big sanctuary system,. and theyve been perfect since day 1
thanks guys
Rob,
Its like the old Maintenance guy says....."If she works dont fix it"
Because you cheaped out and bought shit for amps...
