Some interconnect has got 2 identical wire with ground shielding. Can I use these as mic cables ?
Follow Ups:
An interconnect is just a fancy word for a cable which connects two components together. And that might be a mic and a mic preamp. The "specs" for such a cable vary, depending on the need. Mic cables generally need to be tougher (due to the abuse) and handle very low level signals with minimal degradation or interference.
Regarding "can I use these as mic cables", you need to know if their wiring conforms to your mics and inputs.
XLR3 connectors for balanced, three-conductor cables. RCA connectors for the most common audio interconnects. Do a google search and you will find lots of info.
"RCA connectors for the most common audio interconnects."That's only true with consumer level gear. Pro-sound usually employs balanced connections using XLR connectors. Where unbalanced connections are used they usually employ 1/4" phone connectors. RCA connectors are almost never used at the professional level.
Balanced interconnects and mic cables are identical.
