I've decided to test a set of these in my M60s.A single tube failed at power up (I had the same thing happen with the Sovtek 6AS7s when I first received my amps as second owner three years ago).
I bought two extra tubes with this possibility in mind and, with failed tube replaced, all is well.
I must say that, after about 25 listening hours, I actually like the sound a bit better than with Svetlana 6H13Cs that I'd been running. A tad more smoothness and instrument/voice localization. My expectation was for, at best, equivalence with the old Soviet tubes so this is a pleasant surprise. It may be that the Svets were well-used before I received them and I'm hearing the differences from a fresh set. No matter, the bottom line is that the Chinese tubes, at this point, are definitely keepers.
Just wanted to let folks know my initial impressions...
Were can I get some, how much.I have had more than one bad Svelana!I no there the same some what. I like Sovtek.Thank,s

I purchased these tubes from Brian at:www.diyhifisupply.com
His customer service is unsurpassed.
BTW, the Chinese military 6N8P-A (6SN7) tubes he also sells are robust, reliable and very nice-sounding. Even an "NOS snob" like myself cannot deny their overall superiority in the constant current source (V3) and driver (V4) positions of the M-60 amps!
Which grade of tube did you buy? It appears he has two different tube grades, one for $6.00 and one for $12.00.

They are the "T" grade, but Brian had very few and I was told none remain. I'm going to try a set of "J" grade. You may want to ask him about grade differences, as I use "J" grade 6N8P-A (6SN7) as driver tubes in my M60s and prefer them to Sylvania/RCA/Baldwin(Raytheon) GTA and GTB I have.
