What does this disc measure?
Robert C. Lang
It provides a huge number of test signals recorded in RBCD (to it's technical limits), stereo SACD and MC SACD formats. Such as sine waves to well over 100kHz, and 1kHz from 0dB down to domethinmg like -140dB. And all at exceedingly low distortions.Allows pretty much every test a designer or production QC engineer to make on a player - as long as he has access to measuring eqipment good enough to equal what's available on the disk.
I find this disc invaluable in the design or production area.
where can I find this dics?http://www.ip.philips.com/licensing/services/super/documents174.html
Is this the disc you use?
What about the errors, I asume there is a new improved version out now?
Thanks!
...on two different browsers. We have three versions of the disc - the latest one we got over three years ago is perfect - the earlier two were technically correct but the track sequence did not match the track list on the documentation.
Allen, can you post a link to a company that sell this disc?Best regards
without a lot of noise!?
No.If it is a full-scale 100 kHz sine wave, it would be recognizable, but there would be a lot of noise.
In the real world there would never be anything even close to full scale content from a musical instrument at 100 kHz. So SACD's claims of response "up to" 100 kHz is very misleading.
