Have to go in through Boutique (rather than regular SACD page) because some of the discs are cheaper (??!!) there, but then you have to use search function to get to artist page to get a bigger selection and some lower prices (and to have Sony delete the backordered and full priced message...as in 'Lady in Satin') SACDs. Confusing, but worth the effort. Some are already sold out that I wanted last week, I assume, since they don't come up as SACDs any longer. And Miles fans can preorder the new Jack Johnson for $7.33 after 15% SHOPVISA discount. I got 8 SACDs for 9.33 each. Free shipping.
Follow Ups:
Sony Style and Sony Music Store (not to mention Sony Boutique) are all different ways to get inside and purchase. As I noted once before, you get a different url for each session. Just go to sony.com or sonystyle, sonymusicstore, etc. What's interesting is that each place has some significantly different availability, price and discount(s). For example, when anything in sonystyle is not in stock or backordered, eg. Lady in Satin, the cost defaults to backorder price, i.e. $18 plus. (retail) However, you can do a search and through one of the other portals get it added at the $10 plus price. Free shipping and the Visa code mentioned before get you them for $9.33. Yes, the JJ is CD from the new box set, remastered and due in US stores in January. That comes to just $7 with discounts. Also, BTW, I found that CD lounge only allow new members to buy a couple of SACDs--the rest were for members only. But if you go to the main BMG page and get the serial number you can add it to your basket and get 1 free with every three purchased. (Tenor Madness, Lush Life, Bill Evans, Relaxin' by Miles and some really good ones--though even members don't have much choice. Got 8 jazz sacds (only 3 allowed through the cdlounge 'club' for $40 some odd dollars, shipped. Have to buy two cds over next year...still, doing the math, a great deal.
Thanks for clearing that up. I thought you had found a real SACD bargain on Sony's web site.

Geoff
How exactly do you do this? Can you post a link?
All the SA's I checked come up at $ 18.98.
But at $ 9.33, I'd be interested in adding some music to the collection.
.
Not on SACD, as far as I know. Unless it's available on SME from Japan.

I couldn't find Jack Johnson on SACD on the Sony Style site, either, even after clicking "Boutique," but I did google an interesting article about Mark Wilder's remastering of this and other Miles Davis box sets. Here's a link:

Red Trumpet has some of the Miles JSACD titles for $39.99 and free shipping, which seems to be competitive with the HMV Japan site. . .
But I sure can't find it on Sony Style.

Geoff
Splurge, and treat yourself to the JSACD. You won't regret it.

I have made the mistake of buying locally SACDs I don't really know at reasonable prices, rather than lashing out and buying more JSACDs that I do know (and will surely like) at much higher prices. It's foolish, I know; ending up with quantity, rather than quality.I'll have to get back on HMV Japan and order a bunch of SMEs. I do love non-hybrids, and have never been disappointed with JSACDs.

Geoff
Yeah, but this baby has been dangling in front of you from the beginning. I think it was in one of the earliest batches of SME JSACDs. Amazing that you could resist the temptation.
