People on this board a quick to put the SACD1000 down (notice how most of the detractors never actually owned one) but it was (and still is) a very nice sounding machine. It true the chips were unreliable, the service terrible, but bottom line the SACD1000 stock out performed every other SACD player I've heard in my system (including the more expensive DVP-S9000ES) and did so for only $400 (actually nothing now since my money has been refunded). Hopefully when I get it back from APL the mods will bring it to an even higher level...Cheers,
