The link below has a picture. The Audio Salon runs the place Chris Redmond mentions below. They are the only true high-end place in Glasgow and not too far from the centre of town - 2 minutes on the underground train from Queen Street station to Charing Cross then a 10 minute walk to the Audio Salon. Contact Jack Lawson and tell him Guy from Falkirk recommended him. He`ll also tell you what sights to see in Glasgow. On a cultural level, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra are superb and the concert hall is in the centre of Glasgow. Concerts all year round.
The best museum must be The Burrell Collection - http://www.glasgowmuseums.com/venue/index.cfm?venueid=1
Hope that`s of some help.
Regards,
Guy.
Hi,Tannoy have a plant in Glasgow - that they hold demos for visitors in.
You could try arranging a demo of their prestige range etc.
There's a hi-fi outlet in Glasgow which sells high-end gear and I believe has plenty of equipment on demo. The proprietor's a great guy although we've only corresponded by email (bought my Revel F30s from him some years ago), but you might want to contact him and see what he's got set up at the moment.
The Scottish can be very welcoming. :0)
Best Regards,
Chris redmond.
