>>Too many cable manufacturers (unless the room is sponsored by a particular cable company), never even get a mention. So true ... After reading about my favorite room at RMAF, Joe sent me a
gently Email pointing out that the cables in this room were compliments
of Prana Wire. Since he's had a hand in a number of excellent sounding
exhibits over the years, I was happy to give him his due. "Cable guys
never get no satisfaction. So here's a cheers to Joe and his mighty prana."

Joe has been an equal participant in all the award-winning and show-winning rooms with DeHavilland for the past 3 years. Their rooms have consistently had great sound at CES, Stereophile, and Rocky Mountain. Unfortunately, too many writers and reviewers end up referring to the room as "the DeHavilland room", and have disregarded one of the principal ingredients for the great sound....the hand-fabricated cabling. Without it, there would be NO sound, and little to judge other than visual aesthetics.Joe now asks each reviewer to carefully list each of the participants, and all the componentry, including the specific cabling used....it's only fair. When Joe and I shared our room with Terry Cain and Josh Stippich (at CES 2003), it was understandable that people went completely ga-ga over Josh's amps. They are the bomb. But again, even though I provided a detailed list for visitors of each and every component (including 2 Power Wings) and each run of cabling, Joe and I were pretty much ignored in the overall reporting (and our products were in Terry's main room as well). There were two exceptions....Dave Clark and Greg Weaver....and we are still appreciative for their kind words.
