If I may be so bold as to answer.I was under the impression that beauty, in all its forms, was sheerly that and utterly that -- perfection. The subject matter is in a sense trivial because it expresses a concept embodied in a moment. Before we get into Platonic versus Aristotelian philososhy, I think it would be good to draw back a moment and revisit the frame of reference -- album covers.
This exchange has become silly because we lend import to it that it doesn't deserve. The album cover was a statement at the time, nothing more and nothing else.
