I just came across an unopened copy of Donald Fagen Nightfly in DualDisc. I recall this as being one of the titles used in the test marketing of cities like Seatlle and Boston. I recall that the list I saw at the time had titles that had never been released on regular DVD-Audio. Does anyone know what those titles were or where to find out about them?

I was curious about the Fagen, I would have like the Brubeck even though I had the SACD and the same for REM Automatic for the People though I have the DVD-Audio. For the others there isn't any interest for me.
Michael Jackson's Billie Jean
Michael Jackson's Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough
Michael Jackson's Rock with You
Michael Jackson's Thriller
Are you saying these titles are available as DualDisc or were part of the test marketing program? I have never heard of or seen these before.
.
The "Nightfly" is available on DVD-A - I have it. This site may have more info or links - http://www.dualdisc.com/ There are others too.
poor it sounded compared to modern CDs. Certainly a sonic showpiece in its time, but the mix is thin. I put on Mindy Smith Long Island Shores CD and the latter sounded much more like an LP.
What player are you using for DVD-A? I have not listened to my "Nightfly" disc in quite a bit. I'm not sure if I even played it in my main current player (Marantz DV9600) but I had it in my Rotel RDV-1060 at one point (now in the bedroom system) and remember it sounding decent. Not that long ago I took my DV9600 over to friend's house (as he wanted to see the video vs. his Oppo - I don't have HDMI to upconvert) and we did a comparison of the "Gaucho" DVD-A (which I had) and SACD (which he had) on his XA-9000ES.
switch in if I wanted. If you thought that would matter.
No I would think the Integra would be a good DVD-A player
which is in the dozens.
One of these days when I get thru the next mini house project I'm working on and catch up on music and movies (I have a few import SACDs I just got), I'll give it another listen on the Marantz DV9600. I think I have the CD too and I use the DV9600 as a transport into a Micromega DuoPro DAC for CDs.
