I have had my Raysonic CD128 4 days now and truthfully cant get enough of it. I have another very good cd player Sony LS999ES and really didnt think I could improve on it. However, after reading the very professional review that 6 moons gave on it (Blue Moon) and lookin at the amazing design (beauty is in the eye of the beholder) , and then looking through the photos of the interior layout and the quality of parts used I felt this was something I wanted on my Rack. I am not sorry. It of course is a tube hybrid with all the beauty of tube output combined with fabulous bass from the ss section. It is so much fun loading a disc as you have the same feeling of control as when you load a vinyl disc on its turntable.
Soundwise, its too early to give a meaningful report but so far it is at least the equal of units I have heard up to 3k. My longest listening session was about 4 hours and I never got ear weary in the slightest. At this point I highly recommend it. They are being distributed by Questforsound@aol.com They are National Distributors in Pa for I think 2/3 of all the high end audio on the market. What a list! They are in the process of setting up the dealers for Raysonic and are offering the 128, which lists for around $1795 for $1495 as and introductory offer. After I have lived with it for a while I will post a report, good or bad on my reactions. At this point, excuse me, I have to go put on another jazz disc.
Great post. I luv Jazz as well. Look for to the upcoming review after you have had a chance to live with it for awhile.
