  What is the easiest way to get a laser repair - I understand that the stable platter transport is no longer in production?

    I now only consult for Wadia on their software/firmware. I currently do DSP for automotive mulitmedia.   I've never had any problems with CD-Rs on Wadia equipment including the 830. My guess is that the problem is with the burning. As someone else mentioned, make sure you're burining at a slow enough speed. You might also want to try a different brand CR-R.

    In addition, it's possible the laser is wearing out and slight differences in discs could yield different results. I think something about the surface refectivity? Not certain about that though.

      And just two weeks ago we have changed the pickup to a Wadia which was showing that same behaviour: it went fine and dandy...
