  I made the mistake(?) to compare a loaded LP12 with a "high-end" CD player (I think it was an Accuphase) in 1986... I think it was about 1994 when I finally broke down and bought a CD player and my first CDs, mostly because the music wasn't available on vinyl anymore. Now I have a stack of old vinyl in the basement and no turntable to play it on.
