Have had the Chord Blu and Dac 64 MK II in my system for the last forthnight, and for the first time am really enjoying CD's.My system has improved immeasurably throughout the full audio spectrum, especially in the lower octaves with extra drive.
However all frequencies have improved with extra air, delicacy to vocals. One re-reading the HiFi Plus review, I have to agree whole heartedly with the sentiments.
I do not know what the competitors in the price range sound like, and do not really care, as it has brought a level of MUSICAL enjoyment to my CD collection I did not think possible.
Also helps that I paid 70% of retail ex-demo, still damn expensive, but the build/looks and sound just about justify the expense, I'll be keeping these bad boys for the duration.

Whats the new price for this combo?
How much is retail, might I ask?I am not in the market for another CDP, but this one might make the list in a yer or two when I *am*
I have the Chord Blu & Dac 64 Mk II and strongly agree!
size still adjustable? I recall reading that DAC64 sounds best with buffer at max size..
Yes the buffer size is adjustable, however it is recommended to run without buffering when connected in dual-data mode which I do.

I've read the same thing, and used it that way for 3 months. I tried turning on the buffer just to see what happened, and found I strongly prefer it. Try it and decide for yourself.Best,
