Dear Sirs,I wonder why Speakon connectors are not used on audiophile components.
Are they not good enough?
Actually I remember a speaker from Wilson that used them.
But very few others.
My sincere question is: why?Thank you very much indeed.
Kind regards,
Follow Ups:
Rel subwoofers use speakon connectors and I own Strata-5s giving great performance. As far as I understand, Rels are considered on par with audiophile quality subs used for music systems like Vandersteen and Bag End.

Thank you very much Sir.
I like their functionality but I understand that the fact that are made out of plastics is not good for sound.
Kind regards,
Hey Beppe,Sonically not so good compared to good binding posts. Lots of plastic which may be the culprit. Primarily a 'pro-sound' connector. JMO.
