The picture of your underside says you're missing the latest tweak from Doc. and Paul. The power regulator board is now suggested to have bypass caps across two resistors. Check the posts here on the newsgroup for a post from doc. regarding this.

  Did it and couldn't here a difference so I removed them. This preamp is so quiet in my system that you need to get an inch or so off one of the Straight 8's woofers to hear any hum. None audible at 6 inches. Good enuff for me.
